There’s a fish with your name on it in Brethren—and Majestic Michigan Charters is here to help you find it! With years of experience on Michigan's waters, Captain Josh Miller brings the know-how and dedication to make your trip productive and enjoyable. Whether you're planning your first fishing trip or you're a returning angler looking for the right guide, you're in good hands. Captain Josh specializes in fishing trips on the Manistee and Muskegon Rivers, with a home base in Brethren and Croton. These rivers are known for their rich variety of species, scenic surroundings, and consistent seasonal action. Depending on the time of year, you could be reeling in salmon, steelhead (rainbow trout), brown trout, northern pike, and more. Every trip is tailored to the season and your goals. You might find yourself drifting quietly downstream, fly rod in hand, or focusing on a more targeted approach with spinning gear and local techniques. Josh offers both conventional and fly fishing options—and if you're interested in trying something different, spearfishing is also available for those looking for a unique day on the water. You'll be fishing from a well-kept 16’ drift boat, ideal for navigating shallow stretches and offering a smooth ride. It comfortably fits two anglers, making it a great choice for pairs who want personal attention and plenty of casting space. All gear is included: quality rods, reels, and a mix of effective lures are ready for your use. If live bait is the key for the day, it will be available as well. Before heading out, be sure to secure a Michigan fishing license for each person in your group. Some fish may have specific regulations or seasonal closures, so it's always smart to check in with your captain or visit the Michigan DNR site for details. What should you bring? A few personal essentials can go a long way—polarized sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and layered clothing to keep you comfortable as the day progresses. Captain Josh takes pride in offering a welcoming, down-to-earth experience for every guest. It’s not just about the catch—it’s about enjoying time outside, learning something new, and spending your day in one of Michigan’s most naturally beautiful fishing regions. Whether you're interested in steelhead fishing in winter, pike fishing trips on the Manistee, or looking for guided salmon fishing near Tippy Dam, Majestic Michigan Charters is ready when you are.
